Outdoor, uncovered parking spot at a home in Cleveland Heights. Spot is right next to the garage (see picture), so renter’s vehicle will not get blocked in by typical the parking habits at the home. Space measures approx 6-8 ft x16 ft. The space is a couple blocks from the bus stop and various grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. A close estimate is the corner of Grosvenor and Revere Rd.
The neighborhood is quite safe. Neighbors routinely leave their cars outside even though they have garages. Additionally, there’s a motion activated light that illuminates at least part of the parking space. That being said, owner is not liable for theft, vandalism, or acts of nature that may damage renter’s vehicle. Renter must agree to not park in the driveway and to be liable for damage to the property caused by the car or driver.
Owner recommends potential renter use a car cover or similar, at least when it’s snowing. Owner is not responsible for clearing snow from parking space, however the driveway tends to get shoveled when snowfall is over an inch.
If door locks freeze and someone is home, owner typically has supplies available to help. Same in the event the vehicle needs to be jumped. However, renter is not permitted to leave additional car parts, tools, etc, in space overnight (i.e. this space is not to become a de facto repair shop).
